Three Things to Know
  1. Gift of Gab
Little Rock freshman setter Gabrielle Spankus has made the transition to collegiate volleyball look easy. Spankus enters this week's action with a .345 assist percentage, a mark that ranks 11th in school history for a career. More than just setting up her teammates, Spankus can serve. The Florida native has a .966 serve percentage this year, a mark that ranks ninth-best in school history for a single season and fifth-best for a career.
  2. All Hail Cail!
Daedrianna Cail is having an impactful freshman season and Trojan opponents are first-hand witnesses to that. In Little Rock's Oct. 15 match against Morehead State, Cail hit .625 to record the sixth-best hitting percentage in school history during the rally era. She is also a force at the net as one of the Ohio Valley Conference's most prolific blockers (keep reading to find out more).
  3. The Trojan Wall is Up
Little Rock's net defense is hot this season and the OVC might want to take notice. Entering this week's action, the Trojans are 68th in the nation averaging 2.36 blocks per set and 49th in the country with 172.5 total blocks on the year. Both marks lead the OVC. That stifling defense is led by Zanobia Willis, who enters this week ranked 46th nationally and second in the OVC with an average of 1.24 blocks per set. Overall, she has 82 total blocks on the year which leads the OVC and ranks 29th in the country. Meanwhile Daedrianna Cail ranks fourth in the OVC and 173rd nationally with an average of 1.03 blocks per set while her 72 total blocks ranks 84th nationally and fourth in the league.
