LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Winners of three straight, Little Rock will take its hot streak to a team that is on a roll as much as the Trojans when they play at Tennessee Tech in a two-game Ohio Valley Conference series this weekend.

Tennessee Tech has won six straight and has risen up to second in the league standings after Wednesday's win over Morehead State. Now the Golden Eagles await a Trojan team that won three straight matches at home last week but is still in search of their first road win.

Three Things to Know
  1. Sixth Sense
You could say that stopping opponents' shots is a sixth sense for the Trojans. Little Rock enters this week's action ranked No. 6 in the nation with 227.5 total blocks to its credit, a mark that leads the Ohio Valley Conference by more than 20 total blocks (Southeast Missouri has 203.5). The Trojans enter the week 1.5 blocks ahead of McNeese and two blocks ahead of Penn State.
  2. Top 25
Little Rock enters this week with a pair of middle blockers ranked in the top 25 in the nation in total blocks, providing a force at the net to which everyone is falling prey. Zanobia Wills (103) total blocks is ranked 24th in the nation while Daedrianna Cail (101) is ranked 25th in the nation. The duo are ranked first and second, respectively, in the Ohio Valley Conference.
  3. Gift of Gab
Little Rock freshman setter Gabrielle Spankus has made the transition to collegiate volleyball look easy. Spankus enters this week's action with a .345 assist percentage, a mark that ranks 11th in school history for a career. More than just setting up her teammates, Spankus can serve. The Florida native has a .968 serve percentage this year, a mark that ranks ninth-best in school history for a single season and fifth-best for a career.
