NASHVILLE – Daedrianna Cail put down 10 kills and hit .368, adding two service aces, but Little Rock couldn't stop a hot Tennessee State team in a 3-0 decision Friday night in Nashville.
The Trojans (7-23, 4-13 Ohio Valley) hit just .124 with only Cail and
Zanobia Willis hitting above .200. The middle blocker duo committed just three errors between the two of them and combined for four blocks. Set scores were 25-22, 25-20 and 25-16.
Tennessee State (15-15, 9-8) hit .288 as a team and had two players in double figures, led by Johanna Alcantara's 14 kills. Kennedy Davis added 11 kills while Gina Rivera-Ortiz recorded 25 digs.
Outside of Cail and Willis, the Trojans struggled offensively with only 18 kills and 13 errors between the other seven players to record an attack. F
Little Rock never hit higher than .135 in the match while Tennessee State, which hit .136 in the opening frame, saw their percentage rise to as much as .462 in the third set.
The Trojans will close out the 2022 season on Saturday afternoon in Nashville as they take on Tennessee State at 2 p.m.
