Daedrianna Cail Named Second Team All-OVC

Freshman earns postseason honor

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Little Rock freshman middle blocker Daedrianna Cail was honored by the Ohio Valley Conference Wednesday evening as she was named to the league's all-conference second team.

Cail finished her rookie campaign with 211 kills, a .266 hitting percentage, a team-leading 27 service aces and 118 total blocks, including a team-best 17 solo blocks. Her 118 total blocks ranks 57th nationally and third in the OVC at the end of the regular season while her 1.04 blocks per set ranks 172nd nationally and sixth in the league.

She also finished the regular season ranked ninth in the conference with a .266 hitting percentage while her 17 block solos ranked third in the league.

This marks the 56th all-conference honor overall for the Little Rock program and the first since joining the Ohio Valley Conference at the beginning of the season.
