Turnovers, Cold Shooting Stops Trojans Sunday at WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Faith Lee scored a game-high 12 points, but Little Rock committed 20 turnovers for the third straight game in a 48-25 loss at Western Kentucky Sunday afternoon at E.A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green.

The Trojans (2-6) shot just 25% from the field (11-for-44) and 25% from the free throw line (3-for-12) in the loss while getting out-rebounded 44-30.

Lee's 12 points mostly came across the second and third quarters, when she was a combined 5-for-7 over that span. She finished the game 6 of 10 from the field with four rebounds.

Jaiyah Harris-Smith recorded a career-high four steals in the game, accounting for a fifth of Western Kentucky's 20 turnovers.

Little Rock came as close as cutting the deficit to seven in the third quarter before the Hilltoppers would end the quarter on a 10-0 run.

WKU (2-6) shot 33% from the field and were led by 11 points from Teresa Faustino, six of which came in the fourth quarter. The Hilltoppers finished the game with a 23-4 advantage from points off the bench with 10 different WKU players scoring in the game.

The Trojans were whistled 19 times in the game compared to WKU's nine fouls called.
