Five Things to Know
  1. You've Gotta Have Faith
George Michael knew what he was talking about in his song lyrics. That's because Little Rock's Faith Lee is having a strong start to her freshman season. She enters this game ranked 25th nationally and third in the OVC among freshmen by averaging 4.0 two-point field goals made per game. Meanwhile her 10.6 ppg ranks her 45th nationally and third in the OVC among all freshmen. She is one of only 59 freshmen in the country to be currently averaging 10.0 points or more per game.
  2. Francis is Offensive
Trojan forward Angelique Francis enters this game averaging 4.0 offensive rebounds per game, a hefty mark that ranks the senior 20th in the nation (without minimums) and first in the OVC. Francis's 7.3 total rebounds per game ranks the veteran 174th in the nation and third in the Ohio Valley Conference.
  3. A Boards Battle to Watch
The only player in the state of Arkansas that is averaging more offensive rebounds per game is UCA's Kierra Primm. Averaging 5.5 offensive boards per game, Primm ranks fifth in the nation in the category. That sets up quite the rebounding battle for Saturday's game in Conway.
  4. Anti-Theft Device
One of the best anti-theft devices is ... the Little Rock Trojans. The Trojans enter this game with opposing teams averaging just 6.2 steals per game against Little Rock, a mark that ranks the Maroon and Silver 60th in the nation and leads the OVC. That includes an opposing team steal rate of just 7.4%, ranking Little Rock 62nd in the country and also leads the Ohio Valley.
  5. Welcome Back
Part of the reason Angelique Francis is so highly ranked in rebounds is due to the fact that the senior recorded a career-high 15 rebounds in the Nov. 23 game against Oral Roberts. Not only did she record 15 rebounds - the most of any Trojan this season to that point - but she also scored 11 points to register the first double-double by any Little Rock player so far this year.
