To be eligible, teams had to post a team GPA of 3.0 or above for the entire 2021-22 academic year. Little Rock boasts a 3.328 cumulative team grade point average, finishing with a 3.480 in fall 2020 and a 3.362 during the spring competition semester.

71.4% of Little Rock's roster finished the spring competition season with a GPA of 3.00, coming off a fall semester which saw 23 players notch a GPA of 3.50 or better with a pair of perfect 4.00 performances.

Little Rock was one of 115 Division I teams to earn the Academic Excellence honor and one of four Ohio Valley Conference programs to receive the recognition, joined by current new member Lindenwood along with Eastern Illinois and Murray State. With the honor, the Trojans have now had six of their athletic programs recognized by respective national organizations for academic success as baseball joins men's and women's golf, swimming and diving, soccer and volleyball.
