Little Rock Volleyball Projected to Finish Fifth in Preseason OVC Poll

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Little Rock's Volleyball program was projected to finish fifth in its first season in the Ohio Valley Conference as the league announced its preseason poll and all-conference teams Wednesday. The Trojans' Nedima Kamberovic was listed on the league's preseason all-conference team.
 
The Trojans are projected to finish in the middle of the 10-team conference after having received 95 points in the preseason poll. Morehead State led the preseason voting with 153 points and nine first-place votes and leads a close handful of teams in the top half of the preseason poll. They are followed by Southeast Missouri, who won the conference last year and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. The Redhawks received 145 points and seven first-place votes.
 
UT Martin came in third with 125 points while Tennessee Tech is selected fourth, having received 120 points. Both the Skyhawks and Golden Eagles received two first-place votes. Little Rock followed with 95 points as the Trojans were ahead of Eastern Illinois (66 points), SIEU (63), Southern Indiana (48), Lindenwood (43) and Tennessee State (42).
 
Kamberovic, returning for her sixth season of eligibility, was listed as one of 14 members of the Preseason All-OVC Team. Last season Kamberovic hit .212 and averaged 2.63 kills per set and 0.60 blcoks per set.
 
The 2022 season will mark Little Rock's first campaign in the Ohio Valley Conference, a league whose top half of the standings is as challenging as any mid-major league.
