CHARLESTON, Ill. – Little Rock held the Ohio Valley Conference's most potent offense to its lowest scoring output in five years but couldn't hit enough shots down the stretch in a loss at Eastern Illinois Saturday afternoon at Lantz Arena.

The Panthers (14-3, 6-0 Ohio Valley was limited to just 44 points – well under their 72.1 season average – but out-scored Little Rock by nearly double in the final quarter in the 44-33 final. The Trojans (8-9, 5-1) were held scoreless for over six minutes in the final period.

Tia Harvey led the Maroon and Silver with 12 points while
Jaiyah Harris-Smith brought down a career-high 14 rebounds in the game. Lariah Washington and Macy McGlone each scored 14 points to lead the Panthers while McGlone added 12 rebounds for a double-double.

Not only did Little Rock's defense limit EIU to just 44 points, but the Panthers were also held to a season-low seven assists after entering the game averaging 16.3 assists per game.

While Eastern Illinois struggled to break through Little Rock's defense, the Trojans were unable to take advantage of a stymied Panther offense. LR shot just 19% in the second half, including under 12% in the final quarter.

Eastern Illinois remains the only undefeated team in the OVC and Little Rock, tied for second with Tennessee Tech, will host the Golden Eagles (11-5, 5-1) on Thursday at the Jack Stephens Center.
