LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock women's basketball will make its first-ever trip to Morehead, Kentucky for Thursday's Ohio Valley Conference game at Morehead State.
Tipping-off at 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT and airing live on ESPN+, the Trojans (10-9, 7-1 Ohio Valley) look to stay in the win column as they enter the game in second play in the OVC standings. Morehead State (7-12, 3-5) looks for just its second win in six tries while hoping to keep Little Rock winless in the Commonwealth since 2012.
Jared Stacy (play-by-play) and Dean Hardin (analyst) will have the call on ESPN+ while Trey Schaap will be on the airwaves on the Little Rock Sports Network (920 AM The Sports Animal) back in Arkansas.

- Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
- Yes, this is the first meeting between Little Rock and Morehead State.

Five Things to Know
- Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee
Morehead State's Sandra Lin enters Thursday's game leading the Ohio Valley Conference with 99 total assists on the season, averaging 5.2 per game. In fact, she has recorded at least five assists in five of her past six games. Her ability to feed her teammates will be put to the test Thursday when she faces Little Rock's vaunted defense and a squad that is allowing just 8.2 assists per game this season, a mark that ranks third in the nation, and the Trojans have not allowed an OVC player to record more than four assists against LR in a single game this season. In fact, you have to go all the way back to Nov. 23, 2022 in a 74-62 loss to Oral Roberts to find an opposing player that accumulated five or more assists in a game against Little Rock when ORU's Hannah Cooper tallied eight. Only Cooper and Arkansas's Samara Spencer (6) have tallied five or more assists against Little Rock this season.
- An UnCommonwealth
Little Rock has found success wherever the Trojans play but it seems like the Commonwealth of Kentucky has been an uncommon aberration in that success. Entering Thursday's game, the Trojans are 10-30 (.250) all-time against teams from Kentucky while LR has posted a 3-16 (.158) all-time record when playing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
- Mais Oui!
You wouldn't think Morehead, Kentucky would be the place to go this week to see multiple French players in the gym, mais oui! Morehead State is led by 5-foot-10 guard Melissa Secchiaroli (Sorgues, France) and 6-foot-1 forward Sophie Benharouga while on Little Rock's sideline will be 5-foot-9 guard Britney Mapang (Paris, France), although she is redshirting this season. Likely joining in any conversation with those three could be Little Rock 5-foot-11 forward Sali Kourouma, who is fluent in French.
- One is the Loneliest Number
Little Rock became just the 10th team in the country this season to limit an opponent to one or fewer assists in a game on Jan. 21 when the Trojans held Tennessee State to a single assist. That ranks tied for fifth for the lowest number of assists allowed as four teams - Auburn, Washington, LSU and Green Bay - did not allow an assist in a game this season.
- Notable 15
Fun fact - Kentucky was the 15th state admitted to the Union, joining on June 1, 1792. That number is notable as twice this season the Trojans have held an opponent to less than 15 points in a half. Little Rock limited Lindenwood to 12 points in the first half on Jan. 4 and then the Trojans tamed Tennessee State in a 13-point first half on Jan. 21. There have almost been as many alliterations in this note than either team scored in those halves of basketball.
