Little Rock women hit the road for matchup with No. 24 Ole Miss

The Little Rock women's basketball team is getting right back to work following a brief Thanksgiving holiday and hitting the road to take on No. 24 Ole Miss on Saturday in a non-conference contest at 3 pm. The game can be streamed live on ESPN+ and SECN+ and heard live locally on Sports Animal 920 AM with Trey Schaap on the call.
 
GAME NOTES
 
Ole Miss (5-1) leads the all-time series against Little Rock (0-4) winning six of the seven meetings between the two, including last season's meeting in Little Rock, a 58-40 win by the Rebels. This is the fourth meeting in Oxford, Miss., the site of Little Rock's only win in the series, a 64-61 Trojan win in December of 2008.
 
Little Rock fell to Alabama in its most recent outing, 63-39, last Sunday. The Trojans managed just 31 percent shooting but trailed by just nine at the half. Alabama started the second half with a 14-0 run then used an 11-0 run to begin the fourth period and led by as many as 30 in the final frame. Jayla Brooks led the Trojans with nine points, Faith Lee had eight and Leilani Wimbish-Gay added seven.
 
Ole Miss captured the Battle4Atlantis title Monday in the Bahamas, with wins over Howard (67-54), Arizona (56-47) and Michigan (60-49) in the tournament championship game. Marquesha Davis (11.8) and Madison Scott (11.2) lead the Rebels in scoring this season with Scott leading in rebounding at 9.2 per game. Ole Miss averages 70.7 points per game with an average scoring margin of 14.5 points.
