Little Rock women's basketball returns to the Jack Stephens Center on Saturday for an in-state rivalry game against Central Arkansas, part of the Governor's I-40 Showdown. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 pm and can be heard live locally on Sports Animal 920 AM with Trey Schaap on the call.

Central Arkansas (4-3) leads the all-time series, 19-5, but Little Rock (0-5) has won three of the past four meetings and the last three in Little Rock. Last season, UCA took a 53-49 overtime win on its home floor in Conway. The most recent meeting at the Jack Stephens Center was on Dec. 4, 2021 with the Trojans winning 62-38.

Little Rock is still searching for its first win of the season, which would be the 500
th win in program history. The Trojans have played one of the toughest schedules in the nation to date, with their opponents' combined record standing at 23-8, which ranks 13
th in the NCAA.

Most recently, the Trojans fell at No. 19 Ole Miss last Saturday, 58-45.
Faith Lee led the team with 16 points and Little Rock trailed by just seven points entering the fourth period, but the Rebels pulled away late to win by double digits. Despite the loss, Little Rock turned in its best shooting effort of the season and held Ole Miss to the second-lowest shooting percentage by an opposing team. The Trojans also outscored Ole Miss in the paint by a 22-18 margin.

The Sugar Bears earned a 77-64 win Wednesday at Lindenwood in their most recent outing, shooting 54 percent from the floor and out-rebounding the Lions by a 40-27 margin. Four UCA players reached double figures in scoring, led by Kinley Fisher's game-high 19. Cheyenne Banks added 14, Randrea Wright tossed in 12 and Jade Upshaw finished with 11. For the season, Fisher is leading UCA with 13 points per game, Banks is the rebounding leader at 7.0 per game and four players average at least 10.9 points per outing.
