Field and Bracket Set for 2023 OVC Women’s Basketball Championship

Tournament starts Wednesday, Trojans to play Friday as No. 1 seed

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – After rolling through the Ohio Valley Conference with a nearly unblemished record, Little Rock has claimed the outright league championship in the regular season and will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming OVC Tournament.

By virtue of their seeding, the Trojans will get a double-round bye and will not play until Friday in the semifinals. Little Rock will play either No. 4 Southeast Missouri, No. 5 UT Martin or No. 8 Morehead State with a 1 p.m. tip-off set for March 3 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

This marks the 15th time in the past 16 years that Little Rock's Team will make an appearance in the semifinals of their conference tournament, the third-longest streak in the country. The Trojans are 32-17 in conference tournaments all-time with five conference tournament titles.

Little Rock became the first team in OVC history to win the regular season crown in their inaugural season in the league and could repeat the historical achievement by winning the tournament. Eastern Illinois is the No. 2 seed while Tennessee Tech is the third seat. Southeast Missouri earned the No. 4 seed while UT Martin (No. 5), SIUE (No. 6), Tennessee State (No. 7) and Morehead State (No. 8) rounds out the field.

This marks the sixth consecutive year the OVC Tournament will be held at the Ford Center in Evansville, which opened in 2011 and is located in the core of Evansville's downtown district. The event is scheduled to be at the venue through at least 2024.

All of the women's tournament games will be aired live on ESPN+.

As part of an ongoing commitment to safety and security, aligning with the best practices at major entertainment and athletics venues, there is a Clear Bag Policy in effect at the Ford Center. Fans are encouraged to visit www.OVCSports.com/ClearBag for complete details on the policy.
