LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Little Rock Trojans Yanina Inkina, Nikki Metcalfe and
Angelique Francis all saw action in the professional ranks last week as the trio continue their basketball careers following their collegiate careers.
Yanina Inkina – Runa (Russia)
Yanina Inkina (6-1/F, played 2017-19, plays pro in Russia) could not help Runa in their last game. Despite her good performance the first-placed Runa (18-14) lost 73-83 at home to the lower-ranked (#6) Sparta&K Vidnoe Second Team in the Places 7-12 group. Inkina was the second-best scorer with 14 points in 25 minutes. It was Runa's first loss after six consecutive victories. Inkina has relatively good stats this year 10.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 1.2 apg in 36 games she played so far.
Nikki Metcalfe – Melbourne (Australia)
Nikki Metcalfe (6-2/F, played in 2023, plays in Australia) was not able to help Melbourne Tigers in their game against Falcons (1-2) in the Australian NBL One. She scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds. The 12th-placed Melbourne Tigers (1-2) were defeated 86-78 on the road by the lower-ranked Falcons in the South group. This year Metcalfe averages 7.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 1.5 apg.
Angelique Francis – Melbourne (Australia)
Angelique Francis (5-11/F, played 2019-23, currently in Australia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Metcalfe and both played together in the last Australian NBL One game. Francis was not able to secure a victory for Melbourne Tigers (0-3) in their game against Falcons (1-2). She scored six points in 15 minutes. It was her first game for Melbourne Tigers this season. The Tigers (0-3) lost 78-86 in Mount Waverley to the higher-ranked Falcons in the South group.
