LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Women's Basketball was recognized for a successful 2022-23 season with a resolution passed with unanimous consent Monday afternoon in the Senate chamber.
Senate Resolution 48, sponsored by Senator Fredrick J. Love, was passed with members of the Trojans team and coaching staff on the floor of the Senate chamber, as the legislative body recognized the Little Rock Trojans for being the 2023 Ohio Valley Conference Regular Season Champions.

The chamber gave the Trojans a standing ovation following the unanimous vote to commend Little Rock's Team.
Following the vote and stating ovation, Senator Love presented Little Rock Head Coach
Joe Foley with an official copy of the resolution.
Little Rock finished the season 21-11 (17-1 Ohio Valley) as the Trojans were the outright OVC regular season champions. The team completed the season with an undefeated record at home in league play and advanced to the championship game of the OVC Tournament followed by a trip to the WNIT.
Foley was named the league's Coach of the Year while
Sali Kourouma (First Team),
Tia Harvey (Second Team) and
Jaiyah Harris-Smith (All-Newcomer Team) received all-conference honors.
