LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Head Coach
Joe Foley announced Saturday that
Annemarie Batista has joined the Trojans program for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
Â
Batista comes to the Capital City after one season at Mesa Community College where she set the school's 3-point shooting record by hitting 11 of 14 attempts from beyond the arc in a single game.
Â
"Annemarie is a big forward that can really shoot the basketball," Foley said. "We are very excited that she will be a Trojan. She has the ability to be a knock down three-point shooter for us and we are very much looking forward to adding that threat to our team."
Â
Last season at Mesa, she totaled 321 points, 109 rebounds (29 offensive), 33 assists, 23 steals and 21 blocks across 388 minutes. She was an impressive .379 (77 of 203) from 3-point range with a .388 mark (114-for-294) from the field overall.
Â
She registered 15 games where she reached double digits in scoring including a season-high 33 points against Phoenix College.
