LITTLE ROCK - The swimming and diving team gets back to competition mode in a rematch of only two Division I swimming and diving programs in the state of Arkansas tomorrow, this time traveling north to Fayetteville to meet the Razorbacks for an afternoon dual. "It's been about two months since we last raced, so we're looking forward to competing against Arkansas to kick off 2024," said head coach
Nathan Townsend. "This meet marks the final part of our winter training, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the team responds to all the work we have accomplished. We're now in the middle of
Slam-uary, so we've been doing some of our hardest training sessions in the pool and in the gym."
"Additionally, we are racing the 1650 Free and 400 IM which are two different events for the typical 16-event lineup, in preparation for the MVC Championships in about 40 days," Coach Townsend added. "As always, Saturdays are for the Trojans!"
The Razorbacks visited Little Rock in October, taking the dual 182-115 but conceding wins in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle to the Trojans.
After a successful mid-season meet in November where the squad broke four school records, the team couldn't be more ready to compete again. Keep an eye on the swimmers that are ranked within the top 16 of their events in the conference, listed below:
