Little Rock's road trip continues with first-ever matches at Morehead State

Little Rock continues its first conference road trip of the season this weekend with two matches in Morehead, Kentucky. The Trojans (7-9 overall, 2-1 OVC) face Morehead State (5-8, 1-1) on Friday at 5 pm and Saturday at 1 pm at Johnson Arena. Both matches can be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats are available on LRTrojans.com.
 
Little Rock – Last Time Out
Just a few days after sweeping their first conference series of the season, Little Rock hit the road Wednesday for another OVC contest at Southeast Missouri, where three players posted double-doubles against the Redhawks at Houck Field House. The Trojans took the opening set but fell short in the next three, falling to SEMO in four sets, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, and 25-19.

The Trojans lead the OVC in four statistical categories, including total assists (710), total digs (1,032), total kills (754) and total attacks (2,237). Little Rock ranks fourth nationally in total digs, fourth in total attacks, and 12th in digs per set (17.49). The Trojans also rank 10^th nationally in total assists and 12^th in total kills. Individually, Andrea Roman ranks sixth nationally in total digs (284) and Jeila Fullerton is 15th in total attacks (610).

Morehead State – Quick Look
The Eagles split their first two OVC contests but are 3-2 at Johnson Arena this season. M.E. Hargan (142 kills) and Irene Wogenstahl (119) lead the MSU attack, while Brenna Bommer (253) and Sydney Sennett (208) lead in assists. Peighton Isley has a team-high 209 digs while Wogenstahl (49) and Sydney Wyman (35) lead in blocks. The all-time series between the two teams is tied at 1-1, with the only previous meetings taking place in an OVC series during the 2022 season in Little Rock.

Little Rock returns home next week to host Southern Indiana on Oct. 11-12 at the Jack Stephens Center, before playing back-to-back series in Tennessee on Oct. 18-19 and Oct. 25-26.
