Women's Basketball returns home Tuesday to host Murray State

Little Rock Women's Basketball returns home for a pre-Thanksgiving serving of hoops with Murray State visiting the Jack Stephens Center on Tuesday night at 7 pm. The Trojans (1-4) will look to halt a four-game slide against the Racers (2-2) in a contest that can be streamed live on ESPN+ and heard on Sports Animal 920 AM.

LAST TIME OUT
Little Rock dropped a fourth straight game last Saturday – all against Power 5 schools – with a 78-49 result at Missouri. Faith Lee led the team with eight points, Sug Williams and Brenna Burk added seven apiece and Emerald Parker finished with six. Little rock trailed by 18 after one period and 36 after three before outscoring the Tigers 19-12 in the fourth.

LOOKING FOR A SPARK
Little Rock's has failed to reach the 50-point mark in each of its last three outings, with 48 points at Auburn, 43 at Kansas State and 49 at Missouri. The Trojans have had just one player reach double figures in the past two games (Williams – 10 points at Kansas State) and two over the past three. Little Rock will look to score more consistently after shooting 35 percent at Auburn, 23 percent at Kansas State, and just 29 percent on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
Murray State owns a 6-2 series lead over Little Rock and has taken the past two meetings, including a 98-79 final in Kentucky last season. The Trojans managed to shoot 55 percent against the Racers last year, but Murray State countered with 61 percent from the floor and a plus-14 rebounding advantage. Katelyn Young led the Racers last season with 31 points and seven rebounds.

MURRAY STATE – FIRST LOOK
This is the third of four straight road games for the Racers, who most recently won at Memphis (87-83) on Saturday following a 74-60 loss at LSU to start the road trip. Haven Ford 18.3 points, 7.3 rebounds) and Young (17.0 points, 8.5 rebounds) lead the way for the Racers. Ava Learn (14.8 points, 7.8 rebounds) and Halli Poock (12.8 points) also average double figures in scoring. Murray State's roster includes seven freshmen, three sophomores, one junior and three seniors. Young is the lone graduate.
