Little Rock looks to continue streak of success against in-state rival Arkansas State

Little Rock Women's Basketball hosts its final home game of the non-conference slate with in-state rival Arkansas State coming to town for the 72^nd meeting between the two schools Tuesday night at 7 pm. The Trojans (1-5) will meet the 2-3 Red Wolves in a contest that can be streamed live on ESPN+ and heard on Sports Animal 920 AM. Little Rock has won 18 consecutive games against the Red Wolves in Little Rock since opening the Jack Stephens Center.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Little Rock was handed a 105-57 loss by Murray State last week, dropping to 1-5 with its fifth consecutive loss. Three Trojans reached double figures in scoring, led by Faith Lee's 14 points. Lee scored 12 of her total after intermission and added three steals with a pair of rebounds. Jordan Holman made 6-of-9 shots from the floor and finished with 13 points to go with three rebounds and two assists. Sug Williams tossed in 10 as the trio accounted for 37 of the Trojans' 57 points.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Arkansas State holds a 42-29 advantage in the overall series which dates to 1978. Little Rock had won five straight against the Red Wolves before dropping a 74-59 decision last year in Jonesboro. The Trojans hold a 19-15 record against Arkansas State at home and have won 18 consecutive games against the Red Wolves in Little Rock. The Red Wolves have never won inside the Jack Stephens Center.

This is the final game in a three-game road swing for the Red Wolves, which included losses at Xavier (45-41) and Arkansas (76-60). In their two wins, Arkansas State averaged 107 points per game. Team leaders for the Red Wolves include Crislyn Rose (12.4 points), Anna Griffin (5.8 rebounds), and Rose (3.6 assists). A-State is averaging 73.4 points per game on 38.9 percent shooting. The Red Wolves rank 26^th nationally in bench points with 31.6 points per game coming from reserves.
