FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Little Rock men's and women's track and field teams completed the first day of the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The Trojans had three athletes set personal bests on the day.
Men's Results
Gabriel Torres led the Trojans in the 60m prelims recording a personal best time of 6.71 tying him for fifth place. His time now ranks him tied for fifth in Little Rock records, a time that was set in 1998 by De-Von Bean. He qualified for the next round of the 60m along with
Cameron Jackson who finished in eighth place in 6.75.
Troy McKnight recorded a time of 6.81 for a 14th place finish.
In the next round, Torres placed ninth with a time of 6.74, while Jackson placed 13th in 6.80.
Frankie Grey competed in the 400m clocking a personal best time of 47.70 for 29th place. His time is now ranked third in the Little Rock records.
Women's Results
Marcie Cudworth recorded a personal best time of 9:55.60 in the 3000m placing 16th. Her time keeps her ranked fourth in Little Rock records.
In the 60m,
Landri Schreier placed 27th clocking a time of 7.64.
The Trojans continue action at the Tyson Invitational tomorrow.
