Little Rock continues non-conference slate at Ole Miss Invitational

The Little Rock Volleyball team heads to Mississippi on Friday in preparation for the Ole Miss Invitational, where the Trojans will take on Florida Gulf Coast (Saturday, 10 am), Drake (Saturday, 2:30 pm) and host Ole Miss (Sunday, 2 pm) in Oxford, Miss. All matches will have live stats available but only Sunday's match vs. Ole Miss will be available for streaming (SECN+).
 
Little Rock – Last Time Out
The Trojans (5-2) split four matches last weekend during the Wooo Pig Invitational in Fayetteville, including an upset win over Rutgers in five sets. That win capped off a day that began with a straight-set sweep of Louisiana Tech, matching the program's best start (5-0) in program history. The Trojans fell wo Wichita State in four sets before dropping a very competitive match against #21 Arkansas in the finale.

The Trojans currently lead the Ohio Valley Conference in four statistical categories – assists per set (12.8), team assists (346), team digs (461) and team kills (368). Andrea Roman is first in the OVC and fourth nationally in digs (134) while Jeila Fullerton ranks 21^st nationally in kills (101).

Florida Gulf Coast – Quick Look
The Eagles are 5-1 entering the weekend, having won three straight over Lindenwood, Dartmouth, and Northeastern. FGCU is holding opponents to .144 attacking this season with 70 blocks in six matches. Shelby Kent (88) and Skylar English (79) lead the team in kills while FGCU hits .234 for the season. Ella Chapman (30) and Oreva Evivie (26) pace the squad in blocks. This is the first-ever meeting between Little Rock and Florida Gulf Coast.
 
Drake – Quick Look
The Bulldogs are just 1-4 this season but have faced some stiff competition against teams from Missouri, North Carolina State, Creighton, and Oklahoma. Their lone win came against Omaha last weekend. Macy Daufeldt (62), Megan Witte (46) and Ashlynn Kuhn (40) lead Drake in kills, Addison Beagle has tallied 153 assists, and both Bliss Beck and Aniyah Davis have 11 blocks. This is also the first-ever meeting between Little Rock and Drake.
 
Ole Miss – Quick Look
The host Rebels are 4-2 and winners of their last two matches against Rider and Northern Colorado. Ole Miss has also beaten SEMO and Saint Louis this season. Nia Washington (64) and Emma Ammerman (60) lead the Ole Miss attack, Mokihana Tufono has 220 assists, while Payton Brgoch (25) and Sasha Ratliff (24) pace the Rebels in blocks.
