Women’s Basketball Win Streak Collapsed After Loss to Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - It was a tough afternoon for the Trojans in a 70-49 loss against Tennessee Tech.

The Little Rock women's basketball team played catch-up the entire game on a day where made baskets were hard to come by. The Golden Eagles scored on a three-pointer by Chloe Larry in the first 35 seconds of the game to go up 3-0 and never relinquished the lead again.

Faith Lee led Little Rock with 13 points. Emerald Parker added 11 points and 9 rebounds. Jordan Holman chipped in eight points. Sug Williams was quiet offensively, but grabbed 8 rebounds for Little Rock.

The Trojans trailed 33-18 at halftime and by double figures for the entire second half.

The Trojans did use a 4-0 run to trim the advantage to 10 with 8:53 to play in the game on a jumper by Lee, but that is as close as Little Rock could get.

The Golden Eagles were led by 21 points from Reghan Grimes, who shot 8-10 from the floor.

The high point of Little Rock's game was forcing 22 turnovers and converting those to 13 points.

The Trojans (8-9, 6-2) now look ahead to next week's matchup against Western Illinois (9-9, 3-5) on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
