LITTLE ROCK — After capturing both the OVC regular-season and tournament titles in each of the past two seasons, Little Rock Baseball is once again set to challenge itself against one of the toughest schedules in the region.
The 2026 campaign features 55 regular-season games, including 25 at home, beginning with a three-game series against Eastern Michigan on Friday, Feb. 13, at Gary Hogan Field.
Head coach
Chris Curry's squad won't shy away from marquee opponents, taking on SEC foes Arkansas and Ole Miss once again. The Trojans defeated the Rebels in Oxford last season.
"We've put together another great schedule for Little Rock baseball fans," Curry said. "This year's slate includes five programs that have reached NCAA Regionals over the past two seasons and three regular-season champions. It's a schedule designed to elevate our program and prepare us for the level of competition we'll see in June."
Little Rock's in-state rivalries also highlight the schedule. The Trojans will host Arkansas State on March 10 before traveling to Jonesboro for the return matchup on April 28. The Governor's I-40 Showdown presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arkansas against Central Arkansas runs March 6–8.
"We're proud to continue our in-state rivalries," Curry added. "They generate great energy among our fans and give our players a chance to compete for bragging rights within Arkansas."
The 2026 Trojans return a veteran roster from last year's championship team that pushed eventual College World Series champion LSU to a regional final. Among the key returners are slugger
Angel Cano, the Most Outstanding Player of the Baton Rouge NCAA Regional, along with infielder/outfielder
Ryan Geck, third baseman
Ty Rhoades, and second baseman
Cooper Chaplain.
Jack Cline leads a deep and experienced pitching staff.
With a tested roster, a loaded home slate, and postseason aspirations, the Trojans are poised to make another run at an Ohio Valley Conference title—and beyond.
