First-place Trojans continue OVC play this weekend at SIUE

Sitting atop the Ohio Valley Conference standings after two weeks of league play, Little Rock will go on the road in hopes of continuing its early conference success when the Trojans face SIUE on Friday and Saturday in Edwardsville, Illinois. The two teams meet on Friday at 6 pm and Saturday at 3 pm inside SIUE's First Community Arena. Both matches will be available on ESPN+.

• Little Rock is off to its best start in conference play since joining the OVC for the 2022 season. The Trojans are 4-0 after going 0-4 in 2022, 1-3 in 2023, and 3-1 last season through four conference games. 
• Junior setter Dariana Valencia passed the 1500-assist mark for her career during Saturday's win over Tennessee State. She currently has 1510 career assists and is just 293 short of taking over the #10 spot in program history. 
• A'lanae Margaritha is on pace to have one of the most efficient seasons the program has seen for hitting percentage. Currently at .354, which ranks as the 4th-best single-season mark in program history. She is the all-time program leader for career hitting percentage at .330. 
• Andrea Roman continues to rake in OVC awards, collecting her fourth Defensive Player of the Week honor earlier this week, and has won the award in three consecutive weeks. 
• Roman is also hunting down the top spot in program history for career digs, currently ranking 4th with 1247. She is just 378 digs shy of taking over the top spot. Roman currently ranks 10th nationally in digs per set and 14th in total digs. 
• Little Rock ranks among the top teams in the OVC in several categories, including opponents' hitting percentage (1st), team digs (2nd), team kills (3rd), team assists (3rd), and team blocks (4th).
