Little Rock's first road trip of the season has been put on hold and Tuesday's game postponed due to a winter storm expected to hit the area this afternoon and affect travel to and from Memphis. The game has instead been moved to March 5 in Memphis and a start time will be announced at a later date.
Â
Both the Little Rock and Memphis areas are expected to be impacted by afternoon snow showers as well as a possibility of wintry mix, including sleet, making travel unsafe for the team. Temperatures today are expected to fall into the teens.
Â
According to The Weather Channel, ice accumulations are expected across most of central Arkansas, making roads, especially bridges and overpasses, slick and hazardous. Western Tennessee, including the Memphis area, is expected to receive the same.
Â
Little Rock's next scheduled game is Friday at Nicholls State University, where the 3-0 Trojans will open a weekend series against the 2-1 Colonels at Ray E. Didier Field in Thibodaux, La.
