WAUKEE, IA. – The Little Rock swimming and diving team made a splash at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, shattering two school records on the opening night. These standout performances propelled the Trojans to fourth place, matching their position from last year.
"I'm incredibly proud of the way our team stepped up and delivered on the first night of the championships. Breaking two school records and seeing our swimmers drop time on such a big stage is a testament to their hard work and dedication. These performances set a great tone for the rest of the meet, and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish in the coming days."- said Coach Emilia Martinez.

Gabriella O'Neil,
Jaelle Carlson, and
Lauren Pieniazkiewicz shaved a full second off the school record set by the Trojans last year. The team finished fourth overall with a combined time of 1:40.53.
800 Freestyle Relay
The team of
Jaelle Carlson,
Olivia Elgin, Carol Heinz, and
Gabriella O'Neil shattered the 800 free relay record by over two seconds, posting a time of 7:20.33 to secure fourth place. Carlson led off with a personal-best 1:50.47 ranking her fourth all time fastest in school history, followed by Elgin, who clocked a 1:48.77. Freshman Heinz maintained the Trojans' fourth-place position with a 1:52.10 split, while fifth-year O'Neil closed strong with a 1:48.99 to cap off the race.
