It was an uphill battle for the Trojans on Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference tournament quarterfinal matchup with Southern Indiana. The Trojans' season ended with a 73-52 loss.
Little Rock was led by graduate
Sug Williams with 18 points and four rebounds.
Jordan Holman followed with her double-double effort of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Trojans (14-16) came out hot in the first quarter, going on a 6-0 run in the first two minutes. USI's Meredith Raley drained a three, cutting the lead in half.
The Screaming Eagles (22-11) took their first lead with 5:37 remaining in the quarter after a turnover by Williams turned into a made layup by Raley.
Little Rock trailed 19-15 heading into the second quarter.
USI went on a 10-2 run in the first three minutes of the second quarter and took a 13-point led after a made second-chance layup by Ali Saunders. USI led Little Rock 28-15.
The largest lead of the second quarter came with USI's Chloe Gannon making a hook shot with 2:30 left to play. The Trojans were down by 16, 36-20.

Mesi Triplett.
The Trojans trailed going into the halftime break, 38-26.
The Little Rock defense came out battling in the third quarter, with a quick lost-ball turnover from USI's Vanessa Shafford. Holman caught the steal and was fouled by Raley on the shot attempt, making two-of-two free throws.
Lee's back-to-back made jumpers cut the lead to just six points, with USI leading 42-36.
With 3:42 left in the third, Brooks fouled Raley on a shot, counting the basket and then making the free throw.
The Screaming Eagles led the Trojans 54-38 heading into the final quarter. Little Rock couldn't get any closer than that.
