Four Trojans to compete this week at NCAA West Regionals

Four athletes from Little Rock will compete this week at the NCAA Division I Track and Field West Regional from Wednesday-Saturday in College Station, Texas. Aaliyah Mathis, Tyler Moore, TaVieon Neal, and Deshawn Roberts will represent the Trojans at E.B. Cushing Stadium on the Texas A&M University campus for a chance to advance to the NCAA National Championships on June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.

Neal will be the first of the four in action, competing in the first round of the 100 meters at 7 pm Wednesday. Moore will also run Wednesday at 8:20 pm in the 400-meter hurdles. Both will seek advancement into Friday's national quarterfinals, where they can qualify for Oregon. Roberts will compete in the men's high jump on Friday at 3:30 pm, and Mathis will throw in the women's discus Saturday at 1 pm.

Neal, Moore, and Mathis each won their respective events at the 2025 OVC Track and Field Championships two weeks ago in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Mathis set new school and OVC Championship records in the discus with a throw of 53.06 meters (174-1). Roberts finished second at the OVC Championship in the high jump.

All four days of action in College Station will be available for streaming on ESPN+ and live results can be found by following the Little Rock Track and Field social media channels: @LittleRockTFXC.
