Trojans trek into Texas again for UNT-UTA Invitational

LITTLE ROCK — After a tough weekend at the UCA Invitational in Conway, the Trojans turn their attention to another three-match event on Friday and Saturday when Little Rock travels to Texas for the UNT-UTA Invitational, taking place in two separate locations. The Trojans (2-4) open Friday at noon against Northwestern State, then face North Texas at 7 pm. Both matches are in Denton, Texas. Saturday's finale takes place in Arlington as Little Rock faces off with UT Arlington at 5 pm. The contests with North Texas and UT Arlington are available on ESPN+.

QUICK LOOK – NORTHWESTERN ST.
The struggling Lady Demons head to Texas with a 1-6 overall record and six straight losses after opening the season with a win over another Ohio Valley Conference team – Tennessee State … During their current losing streak, NSU has won just one set … The Lady Demons' young roster includes eight freshmen, four juniors, and one senior. – (Little Rock leads series, 6-1)

QUICK LOOK – NORTH TEXAS
Little Rock should have no problem producing a scouting report on the Mean Green, having faced them two weekends ago during the Lion Invitational. North Texas took that meeting by a 3-1 score on its way to sweeping the two-day event and enters with a 4-2 record. The Mean Green ranks in the Top 40 nationally in attacks, kills, and assists per set. – (Little Rock leads series, 17-10)

QUICK LOOK – UT ARLINGTON
What could be the toughest opponent of the weekend is saved for last when the Trojans meet the unbeaten UTA Mavericks (6-0). Although their competition to date hasn't been exceedingly difficult, the Mavericks have put up impressive numbers while racking up wins. UTA ranks ninth in the nation in aces per set and 11th in opponents' hitting percentage (0.112). They are also 34th in team digs. – (UTA leads series, 22-14)
