Little Rock, Ark. – The Little Rock men's indoor track and field team received its championship rings on Thursday night, celebrating its second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference indoor title at halftime of the men's basketball game.
The ceremony honored most members of the 2025 squad, with a few athletes unable to attend. In addition to capturing the OVC championship, the Trojans earned several conference awards during the indoor season.
Andrew Payton was named OVC Male Track Athlete of the Year,
TaVieon Neal earned co–Male Athlete of the Championship honors,
Morcellous Harris was co-named the Most Outstanding Freshman, and head coach
J.P. Behnke was named OVC Coach of the Year for the second straight season.
"Our sport is not traditionally in the spotlight," Behnke said. "The hard work is done when no one is watching or paying attention. These athletes and coaches sacrificed a lot to get our program where it is, and we were excited to be recognized at the game this evening."
The Trojans celebrated a landmark championship that marked their second title in three seasons since joining the OVC. The 2025 team scored 183 points to secure the conference crown, finishing more than 20 points ahead of the runner-up.
Little Rock will look to defend its back-to-back titles during the 2026 indoor season, with a chance to complete a three-peat in February.
