Trojans Ready to Test Themselves Against Elite Field at The Prestige

Little Rock to Compete Against Nation’s Top Programs in One of College Golf’s Premier Events

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Little Rock men's golf team will face one of its toughest and most prestigious challenges of the season this week, competing in The Prestige at PGA West, one of the nation's premier collegiate golf tournaments.

The Trojans will be part of a loaded field featuring some of the top programs in college golf, including Stanford, Texas Tech, SMU, Northwestern, Wake Forest, Oregon, Clemson, and Colorado, among others. The 24-team field brings together elite competition from across the country, providing Little Rock with a valuable opportunity to measure itself against some of the best teams in NCAA Division I.

Head coach Austin Eoff believes the event represents exactly the kind of test his team needs as it continues to grow and prepare for the championship portion of the season.

"This is why we play the schedule we do," Eoff said. "We want to compete against the best teams in the country because it challenges our guys and shows us exactly where we stand. Events like The Prestige prepare you for postseason golf and help build the confidence and toughness you need to compete at a high level."

The Prestige, hosted at the world-renowned PGA West, is widely regarded as one of the top regular-season tournaments in collegiate golf. The event annually features nationally ranked teams, elite individual players, and championship-caliber course conditions that mirror postseason competition.

For Little Rock, the tournament presents an opportunity to continue building momentum while gaining valuable experience against elite competition. Eoff said his team has focused on consistency, discipline, and execution as they prepare for the demanding layout and competitive field.

"Our focus is on controlling what we can control," Eoff said. "If we stay disciplined, manage the golf course well, and trust our preparation, we can compete with anyone. This is a great opportunity for our players to challenge themselves and continue improving."

The Trojans have emphasized steady progress throughout the season, using each tournament to refine their approach and strengthen their competitive mindset. Facing a field filled with nationally recognized programs provides another important step in that development process.

"We're excited to be here," Eoff said. "Our guys have worked extremely hard to earn this opportunity, and competing in an event of this caliber is something we embrace. It's a chance to represent Little Rock, compete at a high level, and continue building toward our goals."

The Prestige will be played over three days at PGA West, with 54 holes of competition scheduled. The tournament provides a key midseason test for the Trojans as they continue preparing for conference and postseason play.
