LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock pitchers Brannon Westmoreland and Tag Andrews have been recognized among the top players in the region, earning ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I South All-Region Second Team honors.
The duo helped lead the Trojans to the most successful season in program history as Little Rock captured its second consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Tournament championship, advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season and reached the program's first-ever Super Regional.
"We're very excited for this honor for both of our players," Little Rock head coach Chris Curry said. "Brannon and Tag had outstanding seasons, and we definitely would not have made it to the Super Regional without them. They were major contributors to one of the most successful years in program history. We appreciate their hard work, commitment and the way they competed all season long. This recognition is well deserved."
Westmoreland emerged as the ace of the Trojan pitching staff, earning second-team all-region honors after posting a 6-3 record with a 3.46 ERA in 18 appearances and 17 starts. The junior right-hander logged a team-high 101.1 innings while striking out 83 batters and limiting opponents to 103 hits.
A native of Haskell, Okla., Westmoreland recorded one complete game and tossed a shutout at Lindenwood on April 24. He delivered multiple quality starts throughout the season and played a key role in Little Rock's postseason run, helping the Trojans win six games in five days to claim the OVC Tournament title.
"I think it's a testament to our team and how far we were able to go this season," Westmoreland said. "It's an amazing honor, but I wouldn't be able to achieve something like this without my teammates, our defense and our coaching staff. [Little Rock Pitching Coach Evan Lee] has done a great job working with me and all of our pitchers, and I'm grateful for everything he's done to help me develop."
Andrews, a redshirt freshman, developed into one of the most reliable arms in the Trojan bullpen during the 2026 season. The right-hander appeared in 24 games and compiled a 3.13 ERA across 46.0 innings while posting a 5-2 record and seven saves.
"It's awesome. It means a lot to do it for Little Rock," Andrews said. "The coaches, the coaching staff and all the guys in the locker room are amazing. I love doing it for Little Rock, and being part of this program."
The Maumelle native struck out 46 batters while holding opponents to a .207 batting average. Andrews was particularly effective in high-leverage situations, helping Little Rock secure numerous late-game victories during both the regular season and postseason.
His seven saves ranked among the conference leaders, and he played a pivotal role throughout the Trojans' championship run in Marion, Ill., before contributing key innings during Little Rock's NCAA Tournament victories over Southern Miss and Jacksonville State.
The all-region recognition adds to an impressive list of honors for both players. Andrews earned ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team, All-OVC Tournament, OVC Tournament Most Valuable Player, All-OVC Second Team, OVC All-Freshman Team and Hattiesburg Regional All-Tournament Team honors. Westmoreland added ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team and All-OVC Second Team recognition.
