Chastity Reed is in her second year of being an assistant coach for the Trojans.
During her first year as an assistant coach, Reed helped lead the Trojans to a 12-8 conference record and the No.4 seed in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.Â
Collegiate and Professional Career
Reed played professionally for a dozen years, but prior to that, most people will remember her for what she did as a Trojan – four conference championships, four trips to the postseason, a 99-31 record in her four years, including a 53-4 record at home. The New Orleans, Louisiana native still holds 13 school records, including the marks for most points in a game (43) and highest single season scoring average (24.8).
Â
Reed received AP All-America Honorable Mention in 2010, was a three-time All-Sun Belt Conference 1st Team and All-Tournament Team selection, and MVP of the 2011 SBC Tournament. She was picked by the Tulsa Shock in the third round of the 2011 WNBA Draft, and played one season for Tulsa before an 11-year international career that came to an end in 2023.
Â
Reed finished her career with Panathinaikos of the Greek League, where she was a member of the 2021 Greek National League Champions, and won the Greek Women's Basketball Cup in 2023.
