Sandy Burks joined the Trojan athletic department in 1990. As Program Coordinator, Burks duties include coordinating travel, processing insurance claims and other administrative duties.  Prior to Little Rock, Burks spent time in Germany while husband, John, was stationed at the base in Fulda, Germany, and worked at the Army Education Center.
 
A native of Little Rock, Burks, after living abroad while her husband served in the military, now resides in Benton. Burks and husband John have three children: Jason, Stephen, and Elizabeth.
