Trojans Lose in Four to Middle Tennessee

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Arkansas
Little Rock's volleyball team pushed Middle Tennessee to four games but
lost 30-22, 28-30, 30-21, 30-25 Sunday at the Jack Stephens Center. The
Trojans committed nine service errors and eight reception errors.
“Middle Tennessee
is one of the top teams in league,” said head coach Van Compton. “I
forgot what a process it is to put a team back together. Ana (Carolina
Buccini) just got back. Everything is a process, and we will just have
to go through it.”
Ana Carolina
Buccini recorded her seventh double-double with 10 kills and a team high
17 digs.
Ivanka Davidova led
the team in kills with 16, while Larisa Durmisevic contributed 14.
Trojans started out
with the lead in every game but game three when Middle Tennessee took the
6-0 advantage.
In game one, Middle
Tennessee came back from a four point deficit early on to tie the game
twice before taking the lead and the game.
The Trojans hit
.235 in their second game win with Amila Baracovic hitting five kills and
Ivanka Davidova knocked down four.
The Blue Raiders
capitalized on key UALR errors in the third and fourth games while hitting
.333 and .311.
Arkansas-Little
Rock continues conference action at the Jack
Stephens Center on Tuesday
against Arkansas State. Match begins at 7 p.m.
