Little Rock Releases Indoor Track and Field Schedule

2015-16 Schedule

LITTLE ROCK – Head coach Milton Williams has announced the indoor schedule for the 2015-16 Trojan indoor track and field season. The Trojans will compete in four regular-season meets before the Sun Belt and NCAA championships in late February and early March.

Two of the Trojans' regular-season meets will take place in Jonesboro while two more will be on the road in Alabama.

Little Rock begins the indoor track and field season on December 6, traveling to Jonesboro for the Arkansas State Kickoff Klassic. This will be at least the 11th consecutive season that the Trojans have competed at that meet. Last year, Little Rock placed three runners in the top five of the men's 3K to highlight their participation at that meet.

The season will continue more than a month later at the Arkansas State Invite on Jan. 22-23. Little Rock will have had over six weeks to rest up between meets as they head to Jonesboro for the second time in as many competitions.

The season picks up from there as the team takes on two more meets in the next three weeks in Alabama. The South Alabama Invite will be held on Feb. 7, and the team goes to Birmingham, Ala., to compete at the Samford Invitational for the third year in a row on Feb. 12-13.

Little Rock won't go far in the next fortnight as the 2016 Sun Belt Championship will be held on Feb. 22-23 at the Birmingham Crossplex.

Should Trojan runners reach the NCAA Indoor Championship, they will return to a familiar place The 2016 national championship meet will take place on March 11-12 at the Birmingham Crossplex as well.
