Calderon Adds Third Top-10 Finish on MENA Tour

MUSCAT, Oman – Former Trojan Matias Calderon tied for seventh overall and tied for first among amateurs at the Ghala Open on the MENA Golf Tour.
 
Calderon finished the tournament at 5 under par, shooting 68-73-70 over three rounds. Calderon totaled 14 birdies at the event, including six in the opening round.
 
The tournament concludes Calderon's first season on the MENA Golf Tour. Over the course of six tournaments, the Santiago, Chile, native totaled three top-10 finishes and was the leading amateur at three events.
 
Calderon placed seventh and was the top amateur at the Shaikh Maktoum Dubai Open. He tied for third place and was tied for the top amateur spot at the Sahara Kuwait Championship.
 
The 2016 Trojan graduate will compete in the second stage of Qualifying School on the European Tour in early November.
