MOBILE, Ala. – Little Rock volleyball took a 3-1 loss (21-25, 25-19, 14-25, 15-25) to Sun Belt East Division leader South Alabama on Friday night at Jag Gym.

Veronica Marin put down a match-high 10 kills for the Trojans (7-15, 3-7 Sun Belt).
Taylor Lindberg led the match with 34 assists while adding six digs, two blocks and three kills.
Sydnee Martin led the Trojans with 19 digs and added an ace.
Daisha Gillard led Little Rock with five total blocks and put down five kills.

The Jaguars (14-5, 9-0 Sun Belt) were led offensively by Hannah Harris as she put down nine kills with a match-high .318 hitting percentage. Abby Baker had 19 digs while Kelley Hartman led the match with seven total blocks.

With Little Rock up 20-18 in the first set, South Alabama went on a 7-1 run to take the frame. Avram led the set with four kills while Lindberg had a set-high nine assists. Martin led the Trojans with five digs while Gillard put up three block assists. Both sides put up four total blocks for the set.

The Trojans knotted things up in the second set with a six-point victory. Tied at 18, Little Rock went on a 7-1 run to claim the set. After hitting .057 in the first set, Little Rock hit .220 in the second frame while South Alabama hit .079 for the second consecutive set. Marin led the set with four kills on 10 swings while Lindberg added 12 assists. Martin added to her dig total with six.

Hoping to capitalize on the momentum after their win in the second set, the Trojans faltered in the third frame as the Jags went on to win by 11. South Alabama hit .323 for the set with 12 kills and two errors on 31 swings while Little Rock hit .025 with nine kills and eight errors on 40 swings. Marin led the set with four kills.

South Alabama continued its run into the fourth set as it went on to take the match with a 10-point win. The Trojans hit a dismal -.026 in the final set while the Jags hit .222.

Mya Robinson each ended the match with eight kills and nine digs.
Marina Avram finished the match with eight kills, 10 digs, four block assists and an ace.
