SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Little Rock women's basketball team saw its 12-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday, falling by a 64-47 score to Texas State at Strahan Coliseum.

The Bobcats (13-10, 8-4 Sun Belt Conference) controlled the game from the first half, outscoring Little Rock (18-7, 12-1) by 4 points in the first quarter and ballooning their lead to 21 points at halftime thanks to a 24-7 scoring edge in the second quarter.

Kyra Collier was Little Rock's top scorer and tied for the team lead in rebounding, recording 10 points and six rebounds.
Sharde' Collins had 8 points and
Ronjanae DeGray had 7.
Carolee Dillard tied for the team lead in rebounding with six.
Monique Townson led the way with three assists.

Despite the loss, Little Rock still remains in sole possession of first place in the Sun Belt Conference standings with five games to play.

Already trailing 14-10 entering the second quarter, things took a turn for the worse for Little Rock in the second. Texas State made 11 of 14 shots from the field in that period including nine straight at one point while Little Rock was unable to make shots fall. The Trojans shot just 3 for 11 from the field in the second quarter and committed 10 turnovers in the first half that led to 12 Bobcat points.

Little Rock now has six days to prepare for its next game when it takes on Arkansas State at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro. The Trojans and Red Wolves are set for a 5:30 p.m. start time.
