LITTLE ROCK – In its first midweek game of the season, Little Rock baseball (0-3) will go up against Louisiana Tech (3-0) at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park on Tuesday at 6 p.m., in Ruston, La.
 
Little Rock baseball will broadcast live on the radio through the Creative Sports Network on KASR 92.7 FM in the Little Rock area and other stations throughout Arkansas. All radio broadcasts can be picked up online at KASRFM.com and/or CSNSports.net. Mike Harrison will be calling all the action this season for the Trojans.
 
Little Rock will be facing an undefeated Louisiana Tech squad that outscored UAPB 40-4 in a three-game series this past weekend. The Bulldogs extended their home winning streak to 13 games — second-longest in Division I. For its performance, Louisiana Tech received votes in the NCBWA poll on Monday afternoon.
 
Redshirt junior and lefty Cole Townsend will make his first start of the year on Tuesday. Townsend pitched one inning of relief for Little Rock on Saturday and allowed just one walk on 10 pitches. Townsend started in four games for the Trojans last season and was 0-1 in those games with eight strikeouts. Tuesday's game will the first time Townsend has ever faced Louisiana Tech's hitters.
 
Townsend will go up against former Cisco College teammate Casey Sullivan. The right-hander threw an inning of relief for the Bulldogs this past weekend and only allowed a walk.
