LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock baseball (8-12, 1-2 Sun Belt) is set to face No. 5 Missouri (19-1, 3-0 SEC) on Tuesday night at Taylor Stadium in Columbia, Missouri. The game will air live on SEC Network Plus and WatchESPN with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.
Â
Little Rock last faced Missouri in 2015 and came away with a 4-3 win over the then-No. 14 Tigers. Missouri is the only SEC opponent that Little Rock has the all-time series lead against at 2-1. The Trojans' first win over Mizzou came in 2000 in Natchitoches, Louisiana at Northwestern State.
Â
Freshman right-hander
Carter Brown (1-0) will make his second career start on Tuesday. In his first career start against Fort Wayne on March 3, Brown went 6.0 innings, struck seven and allowed two runs on two hits and three walks. Brown has made only one appearance since then as he came on in relief and pitched two-thirds of an inning in Sunday's win over Troy.
Â
Missouri right-hander Bryce Montes De Oca (1-0) will make his third start of the year on Tuesday. His last start came against Chicago State last Wednesday as he pitched five innings, struck out six and allowed one run on two hits and four walks.
