LITTLE ROCK – Looking for its first Sun Belt Conference series win this season, Little Rock baseball (10-19, 3-6 Sun Belt) will welcome Texas State (19-11, 6-3 Sun Belt) to
Gary Hogan Field for a three-game series beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. The series will continue on Saturday at 2 p.m., before wrapping up on Sunday at noon.
Â
Fans will have the chance to purchase Little Rock Trojans merchandise and apparel on the concourse at Friday night's game.
Â
Little Rock has the all-time series lead against Texas State at
7-2 since 2014 and has never dropped a series to the Bobcats. The last time Texas State visited
Gary Hogan Field in 2015, it left with a series loss as Little Rock took two out of three games. Last season, the Trojans dealt the Bobcats a three-game sweep in San Marcos.
Â
The Trojans will start the same weekend rotation as last week with right-hander
Cory Malcom (2-1) on Friday, right-hander
Ryan LeMoine (0-3) on Saturday and lefty
Chandler Fidel (2-3) on Sunday.
Â
The Bobcats will throw the same rotation as last weekend also with right sophomore right-hander Connor Reich (1-2) on Friday, sophomore lefty Wes Engle (2-0) on Saturday and freshman right-hander Nicholas Fraze (3-1) on Sunday.
Â
- A series win for Little Rock would give the Trojans their fourth consecutive series win over Texas State — something Little Rock has never done against a Sun Belt Conference opponent since joining the league in 1992.

- Malcom hasn't allowed a home run in 74.2 innings dating back to last season.
- At 9.7 at-bats between strikeouts, Bryce Dimitroff is the fifth-toughest player to strikeout in the Sun Belt and ranks 146th nationally.
