VERO BEACH, Fla. – Paced by a 2-under 70 by sophomore
Marcel Rauch, Little Rock is tied for seventh after one round of the Quail Valley Intercollegiate. The Trojans posted a 4-over 292 over the opening 18 holes and currently sit in a three-way tie with Memphis and Jacksonville for seventh among the 16-team field.

Rauch continued his impressive start to his Trojan career as he has now notched a 70 in three of his first four collegiate rounds. Starting on hole 10, Rauch recovered from a bogey on 11 to birdie 12, 13, 14 and 17, finishing at 3-under 33 over the back nine. After bogeys on holes one and two, he answered with birdies on six and seven, closing out the round with a bogey on nine to finish at 2-under, tied for 11th.
He holds a three-stroke lead on sophomore
Aaron Ramos, who carded a 1-over 73 in round one and is tied for 30th individually. After a double bogey on the opening hole, Ramos went 1-under over the final 17, finishing with three birdies and 12 pars.

Logan Pate is tied for 40th overall with a 2-over 74, one shot better than senior
Justin Warren's 3-over 75 over the opening 18 holes. Sophomore
Tiago Lobo closed out the Trojan scorecard with a 6-over 78, helping guide the Trojans to the 4-over 292
The three teams in seventh are four shots back of host McNeese in sixth place after the Cowboys posted an even-par 288. Little Rock, Memphis and Jacksonville are two shots ahead of 10th-place Texas State (6-over 294) and are three shots better than 11th-place Sam Houston State (7-over 295) as six teams are within five shots of the Trojans.
Arkansas State holds the team lead with a 9-under 279, one better than second-place North Florida (8-under 280) and four shots ahead of third-place South Florida (5-under 283). Michigan State (4-under 284) and Notre Dame (2-under 286) round out the top-five after round one.
Round two will get underway for Little Rock at 7 a.m. CT as the Trojans will tee off in the first groupings from hole one, playing with Notre Dame, McNeese and Memphis in the round one groupings. Lobo will be the first Trojan to tee off, leading up to Rauch's 7:40 a.m. CT tee time. Live scoring is available at
