Qualifying School - Stage One Final Leaderboard
Warren opened the event with a 4-under 67 in round one, five birdies with just one bogey, including a 4-under 32 over the front nine. In round two, Warren was even better, shooting a 6-under 65 with no bogeys to blemish his scorecard. Round three saw Warren maintain his lead, posting a 3-under 68 as he finished the weekend with just two bogeys.
The Picton, Australia native had quite the summer, finishing first at the 2018 Camden Cup in May to qualify for the 2018 NSW Open last month in his native Australia where he made the cut and tied for 55th among the 156-player field with a 3-under 285. Warren then placed fourth among 256 golfers at the Canadian Amateur Championship in August, registering an 11-under 273.
Those successes continued into the fall season where Warren led the Trojans with a 71.73 scoring average in four fall tournaments, including six round of par-or-better. He notched a pair of top-10 showings, including a runner-up finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational in September where he set the Little Rock program record for lowest individual round (7-under 64) and lowest individual tournament (11-under 202).
The PGA Tour of Australasia Qualifying School has been conducted at the end of each season to establish which players, not otherwise exempt, will gain their playing privileges on the Tour for the following season through a qualifying competition. Qualifying School is a test of character and skill for those professionals who are seeking to regain a tournament exemption category or improve on their existing exemption category for the following season and those amateurs who are embarking on their professional career.
Warren will return to the United States in January as Little Rock begins its challenging spring schedule in Tucson, Arizona, competing in the Arizona Intercollegiate January 28-29, 2019.
