LITTLE ROCK - Little Rock baseball is back at home for the first leg of a home-at-home matchup against Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, March 13 at 4 p.m. at
Gary Hogan Field. It is the first of two meetings between the two schools, the second of which will take place April 4 in Ruston, Louisiana.

Trojans To Watch For:
When runs have been needed,
Troy Alexander has been the Trojan to call on. Alexander has produced a team-high 20 RBIs on the year, which ranks tied for 32nd nationally. He is hitting a team high .391 at the plate with 44 total bases on the year (26th nationally), with many of those bases coming off doubles, ranking 25th nationally with seven.

On the mound for the Trojans will be
Ethan Daily for his second start on the year and his first appearance at
Gary Hogan Field. His last start was against ninth-ranked Ole Miss on March 7 where he threw 2.0 innings and only allowed one hit with no runs and struck out two. On the year he has a 3.00 ERA in the four appearances he's made while getting pitching a total of three innings.

In the bullpen,
Justin Garcia is sitting tied for fourth in the nation with a strikeout per nine innings average of 16.74. He has a total of 31 strikeouts in only 16.2 innings pitched and had nine appearances he has had on the year.

Scouting LA Tech:
The Bulldogs (12-5) head to Little Rock on a five-game wining streak and have won seven of eight in the month of March. In that stretch they defeated Sun Belt west division leaders ULM, shutting out them 7-0 in Monroe, while also defeating eighth-ranked Texas A&M 4-2 in the Frisco College Baseball Classic.

Louisiana Tech has seven players hitting over .280 and five of those players are hitting over .310.

On the mound for the Bulldogs will be David Leal who is 2-0 on the year in three starts. He has an ERA of 0.46 off of the 21.2 innings pitched, giving up just 10 hits and holding opponents to a .146 average. He is also a strike thrower getting 26 strikeouts total and only walking two batters.

Series Against LA Tech:
In the 68 meetings against the Bulldogs, Louisiana Tech holds a 44-24 edge in the all-time series, winning both games of last year's home-and-home series. The Bulldogs have won eight of the last 10 against the Trojans with Little Rock's last victory coming in a three-game sweep in 2014. Â

Last Time Out:
The Trojans claimed another series win against the Memphis Tigers this past weekend, taking two of three. It was a very up and down series for Little Rock after giving up an early 5-0 to fall in game one of a Friday doubleheader 10-6. They would bounce back in game two from a 4-1 deficit with a four-run eighth inning to claim the win 6-5 before taking a 4-1 win to close out the series behind the pitching of
Cole Townsend who is now 3-0 on the year.

On Deck:
Little Rock will open conference play this weekend in Troy, Alabama with a three-series against Troy starting on Friday at 6 p.m. at Ripple-Pace Field. Play will continue with game two on Saturday at 3 p.m. followed by a game three on Sunday at 1 p.m.
