Warren, Ramos Finish Top-10 As Trojans Tie For Third

SAN ANTONIO – Senior Justin Warren and sophomore Aaron Ramos both placed among the top-10 individually as Little Rock tied for third at the UTSA Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio. Little Rock closes out the weather-shortened event with a 13-over 589, posting a 5-over 294 over the final 18 holes.

Warren got his senior season off to a strong start, tying for fifth individually with an even-par 144, recording the second top-10 showing of his career. Warren was 2-under after the opening six holes and remained that way until bogeys on 16 and 17 pushed him to even-par.
 
Ramos recorded his second-straight round of 1-over 73, giving him a 36-hole total of 2-over 146 and tying for 10th in the individual standings. Ramos birdied the opening hole before bogeys on five and six, then closed out the tournament with 12-straight pars.
 
Sophomore Tiago Lobo rebounded from his opening round 76 to card a 1-over 73 in round two, tying for 26th overall with a 5-over 149. Lobo finished even through the front nine and 1 through the back-nine, finishing his round with birdies on 17 and 18.
 
Junior Danial Durisic tied for 36th overall with a 7-over 151, carding a 4-over 76 over the final 18 holes. He finished one shot ahead of fellow junior Logan Pate, who posted a 5-over 77 in round two and an 8-over 152 for the event, finishing tied for 44th overall.
 
As a team, Little Rock was the most consistent among the 15-team field, registering 131 pars over the two-day event with the next closest teams finishing with 112. Ramos and Warren led the way with 29 and 28, respectively, over their 36 holes with Durisic adding 26. Warren was also one of the top players on the par-four holes, finishing at 1-under with a 3.95 average.
 
Little Rock finished the event even with Sam Houston State at 13-over 589, two shots better than Sun Belt foe ULM's 15-over 591. The Trojans were 11 shots back of host UT-San Antonio, who claimed the team title at 2-over 578, and were nine shots back of rival Arkansas State, which finished second with a 4-over 580.
 
The Trojans will return to the Lone Star state for its next event, traveling to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational. Hosted by SMU, the 54-hole event will take place Sunday, September 23 through Tuesday, September 25 at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
