DALLAS, Texas – Senior
Justin Warren posted a round for the record books on a wet day in Texas, shooting a program-record 64 in the opening round of the Trinity Forest Invitational. Warren's effort paced Little Rock to a 6-under 278 after round one, the 13th-lowest round in program history, as the Trojans sit fifth among the individual standings.

Starting on hole 10, Warren notched four-straight pars before an eagle on the par-five 14th put him at 2-under. He then birdied 16 and 17 before a bogey at 18 put him at 3-under through the back nine. Warren then registered birdies on holes one, five and six before tallying his second eagle of the day, this time on the par-five seventh. A birdie on eight had the Australia native at 8-under before a bogey on nine gave him the 7-under 64 and among a three-way tie atop the individual leaderboard.
The 64 by Warren was one stroke lower than the previous Little Rock single-round score of 65, held by five players on seven occasions. Daniel Fox posted the score three times during the 2000-01 season with Linus Gillgren, Sebastian Gunnarsson and Dylan Raines all shooting a 65 in the 2009-10 season. Lee Sanders was the other member of the 65 club, accomplishing the round in the 2005-06 season.

Logan Pate and sophomore
Marcel Rauch, both of which carded a 1-under 70 to sit tied for 21st. Playing in his home state, Pate tallied four birdies and 11 pars, shooting a 1-under 34 over the back-nine. Rauch, playing in his first collegiate tournament, was up to the task as well, shooting a 1-under 35 over the front nine with five birdies and nine pars.

Danial Durisic and sophomore
Aaron Ramos sit just off the pace with a 3-over 74, tied for 61st individually. Durisic followed suit with Warren and notched an eagle on the par-five 14th as the Trojans' three were the most on the day among the 13-team field. Little Rock currently leads all teams in both par-3 (2.85) and par-5 (4.13) scoring, sitting a combined 16-under through those holes.
Warren and the rest of the Trojans will try to build off the momentum of round one against the challenging field, getting their second round started off hole one. Little Rock will play with College of Charleston and New Mexico in the round two pairings and will begin tee times at 9:32 a.m., leading up to Warren's 10:08 start.
