Durisic, Warren Shoot 66 as Little Rock Remains Fifth

DALLAS, Texas – Senior Justin Warren and junior Danial Durisic both shot 5-under 66s over the second 18 holes of the Trinity Forest Invitational, keeping Little Rock fifth among the 13-team field. The Trojans registered a 6-under 278, matching its opening round score, and sits at 12-under 556 with one round remaining.

One day after posting his program career-low score of 64, Warren returned to the course and remained red hot. After bogeying hole three, Warren tallied birdies on five, seven, eight, 11, 15 and 18, pushing his 36 hole total to 12-under 130 and into the top spot among the individual leaderboard by two strokes.
 
Durisic found his groove early in the day as well, registering birdies on holes one, three, seven, eight and nine over the front nine, posting a 4-under 32 after a bogey on six. His only other blemish was a double bogey on 13, but he recovered with birdies on 14, 17 and 18 to post his career-low 66 and move into a tie for 15th individually with a 2-under 140.
 
The remaining three Trojan competitors each finished round two with a 2-over 73 as junior Logan Pate and sophomore Marcel Rauch remained tied for 30th overall at 1-over 143. They hold a four-shot advantage on sophomore Aaron Ramos, who is tied for 61st at 5-over 147.
 
Little Rock continues to lead all teams in par-three scoring at 4-under, boasting an average of 2.90, while ranking second on the par-fives at 16-under for a 4.47 scoring average. Durisic and Warren are both tied for the individual lead on both the par-three and par-five holes, sitting at 3-under and 6-under, respectively, as the Trojans rank second in birdies with 42.
 
The Trojans enter Tuesday's final round with a four-shot lead on sixth-place Florida (12-under 556) and are six shots up on seventh-place New Mexico (6-under 562). Little Rock has its sights set on moving up over the final 18 holes, trailing both Baylor and North Texas (14-under 554) by two strokes and is four shots behind second-place College of Charleston (16-under 552).
 
Tuesday's final round begins at 8:32 a.m. for the Trojans as they will tee off among the first group from hole one, playing with North Texas and Florida in the final round pairings. Ramos will get things underway for Little Rock as the Trojans will tee off in nine-minute increments, leading up to Warren's 9:08 a.m. tee time.
