Little Rock Sits 12th After 36 Holes in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – Little Rock sits 12th among the challenging 16-team field at the spring-opening Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson. The Trojans posted a 3-over 571 through the first 36 holes, sitting four shots out of a top-10 showing.

The Trojans opened the spring season with a 2-over 286 through the first round, placing 13th after 18 holes. The effort was paced by a 2-under 69 from senior Justin Warren with sophomore Aaron Ramos right behind with an even-par 71.
 
Little Rock then shaved one stroke off its opening round total, firing a 1-over 285 in the afternoon round to move up one spot to 12th overall. Junior Carter Patterson, playing in his first Division I collegiate event, led Little Rock with a 2-under 69, one shot better than Ramos' 1-under 70, giving the Trojans four rounds of par-or-better on the day.
 
Ramos sits atop the Little Rock scorecard with a 1-under 141, tied for 25th among the 80-player field. The Arizona native holds a two shot lead on both Warren and Patterson, who are tied for 39th overall at 1-over 143 as the two played mirror rounds of 69-74.
 
Junior Danial Durisic is tied for 45th overall after notching a 1-over 72 in both rounds, shooting a 2-over 144. Junior Logan Pate rounds out the Trojan scorecard with a 10-over 152, carding a 77-75 in his first two rounds.
 
Little Rock enters Tuesday's final round with a one stroke lead on UT San Antonio (4-over 572), trailing UTEP (2-over 570) for 11th. The Trojans sit four shots back of ninth-place BYU (1-under 567) as they try to claim their fifth top-10 team finish of the season.
 
The Pac-12 had a productive day in the desert Southwest as Arizona State holds the team lead with a 21-under 547, five shots better than conference rivals Arizona and UCLA (16-under 552). Texas A&M (15-under 553) sits fourth with St. Mary's (14-under 554) rounding out the top-five.
 
Tuesday's final round gets underway with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start as the Trojans will play with Long Beach State over the final 18 holes, teeing off from holes 13 and 14. Live scoring of the final round is available at GolfStat.com.
